Lens flare filter

I was just thinking it would be really cool if there was a lens flare feature as a special effect for films ect. It will help scenes look more cinematic. Here is my concept:

Maybe some stock transparent images of lens flare could be used instead of those slightly-transparent shapes I made. Let me know any of your thoughts on this and if it could possibly be an actual feature.

Lensflare clips need to be in a separate track using the blend mode “Add”. I usually need to tone them down - the “Opacity” filter works well for this.
