Lenght of Pictures and their standard

Hi,
I downloaded version 210922 and tried to make a video out of pictures and a mp3. So i’d like to adjust the length or duration of the picture(s) to fit to the music. All FAQs mention that one just have to click in the picture go to settings adjust the time and click on “as standard”. But neither can i change the duration nor can i set it as standard for all pictures. The only way to change the duration is via timeline but thats not accurate and needs to be done for every picture.
pls help. What am I doing wrong?

That only works for all newly added pictures.

The only way to change the duration is via timeline but thats not accurate and needs to be done for every picture.

That still must be done if the pictures need a different length, and it is accurate. To achieve accuracy you need to use the playhead and snapping, or playhead and keyboard shortcuts.
