Labels are truncated in UI

Just installed SC today. Running the latest 22.06.23 on Windows 11 x64.

Having an issue that Labels are being truncated in the UI.
I tried in both monitors

• main is 3840 x 2160 @ 125% scale
• secondary is 1920 x 1080 @ 100% scale

On both monitors the UI labels are being truncated - it’s sort of like learning Touch Typing by fire!!

Any thoughts or where to change this?

This is probably related to this problem, which has been accepted as a bug.

Did you change something in your Operating system’s Display settings? [9aed2v6fOq] I get the problem you describe if I change the recommended 100% setting to something bigger. Example bellow, layout size set to 150% [VRx699Wccu]

Exactly the problem.

Posted a workaround in the other thread.

We have a fix in the next version for the menus only (the linked post above). The problem you are showing is affecting some non-menu text. This will have to wait until we can do upgrade our main library to the next major version. In the meantime, as a workaround, you can run Shotcut with command line argument --QT_SCALE_FACTOR 1 or 2 if you want 200%. It is the fractional scaling that is sometimes a problem.
