What is your operating system?

What is your Shotcut version (see Help > About Shotcut)? 24.02.29

Can you repeat the problem? If so, what are the steps?
Goal: Trying to smoothly zoom in to the bottom righthand of the source to show the map legend.

After creating a keyframe section, I right-clicked the “diamond/square” icon on the screen, and the options for “linear, smooth. etc.” didn’t appear.

I tried updating the SC version, restarting the computer, and increasing the duration of the section selected, see attached.

I am unsure as to what else I should be trying to do.

You need to add a second keyframe. The curve (smooth, linear, etc) goes from one keyframe to the next. But if you only have one keyframe, there is no way to perform a curve. That is why the entries are grayed out.

Also, you might wan to put a keyframe at the very beginning of your clip - unless you want the value to stay constant until the first keyframe.
