There are times when I split or trim a clip’s in or out point, but then later realize I need to restore a portion of it. This is often after I’ve already applied filters, created freeze frames, or performed other actions, so I’d rather not use undo or restore it from the playlist. However, dragging the edge of the clip on the timeline is very slow and causes Shotcut to stall.
I’d like to use a single key to do this, similar to pressing I or O for trim clip in and out. This would restore previously trimmed parts either to the playhead, or to whatever its max length is if the clip ends before reaching the playhead. Sorry in advance if this was discussed somewhere before; I searched and couldn’t find anything like this mentioned in the forum, FAQ or road map.
