Hello,
I’m new to Shotcut and am just starting to explore the software. I’m having trouble increasing the duration of a transition after it’s been created.
Here’s the situation:
- I have two untrimmed clips.
- I drag Clip B onto Clip A so they overlap, and a cross-fade transition is automatically created.
- I decide to make the transition longer. I try dragging Clip B further left to increase the overlap, but it doesn’t work. I can shorten the transition by dragging its edges, but not lengthen it.
I understand that lengthening via the transition edges is not possible if there are no extra frames (handles) in the adjacent clips. But I expected to be able to increase the overlap by moving one of the clips.
Is this possible in Shotcut? If not, are there any known workarounds?
Thanks in advance!
