So I noticed that within the Export dock. The drop down option for Codec list was a little bit too tight. So i decided to increase the width of the codec list. Is there any way to request for a pull request?

I think the “more compact” here is decreased line spacing between items, which is not necessarily a good thing and inconsistent with drop-downs elsewhere. But hard-coding a wider presentation is also less compact width. I do not plan to merge this.
For me on Windows the drop down fully fits the longest entry in the list. From your screenshot it also fits for you, so why do you want more empty space to the right?
