A few days ago I was totally unexperienced about video editing but I already finished my first videos with Shotcut. A suggestion to help older people like me: increase a little bit the “head” of the playhead. By this I mean the small triangle at the top of the playhead. It would be easier to place the mouse on it and pull the playhead back and forth.
You don’t need to actually click on the playhead to move it. You can move the playhead by simply left clicking elsewhere in the timeline. If you want to drag the playhead around and scrub the audio then press and hold the Shift and Alt keys while moving the mouse.
