Increase In File Size

When I edit with shotcut, my original file size is around 1.33 gb but then after I export it, it turns into a 4 gb video. The only things i added were a couple of audio tracks that should barely add any space at all. Does anyone know how to fix this?

You need to inform us as to what the properties are for the original and exported videos. Just to say one is bigger than the other is not helpful. Open them both in Shotcut and click on the “properties” button, then paste the information here.

H.264 1920x1080 ratio is 16:9 and the frame rate is 60.0

What configurations did you use for export?

h264_qsv and hevc_qsv

Hardware encoding often creates files that are 3x larger for the same quality as software encoding, so this sounds about right. If file size is important without losing quality, then using libx264/265 for encoding rather than hardware encoding is probably a better option.

Ohhhh! Okay thank you
