Importing by dragging and drop into playlist/

I can’t seem to import videos directly by dragging and dropping into the playlist. I can only drop them into the timeline screen.

It works fine for me; not enough info:

  • OS
  • Shotcut version
  • dragging from what/where?

Dragging from the video files on my computer to the Thumbnail section. The only way I can get files into the program is by clicking OPEN and then they appear in the viewing window. Then I can drag the file in window to the time line but OVERWRITE shows up before they are dropped. I can play them OK but can not use Properties to affect any changes in them.
