Image appearing inside text - text size limit

Hi,
I want my intro to be a transparent text on a black background growing up progressively till the image fully appears inside the text.
I am then creating a text with black background and greenish font + chroma key to make the text transparent, then I use the keyframe to have the text grow over the duration of the clip, but at the middle of the clip the text stops growing as if there was a limitation in the size it can take.
Am I wrong ? Is there any way to have the text keep growing ?
