What is your operating system?
OS: Linux Mint 22.0 Wilma.
Windows manager: Mate.
What is your Shotcut version
25.01.25 (Appimage).
Can you repeat the problem? If so, what are the steps?
With the new HSL Primaries filter, when I scroll down to see the last group of options, the scroll stops and won’t reveal those bottom options.
I tried running the appimage on my Ubuntu 20.04 machine and I do not reproduce the problem.
That is a good guess. I tried increasing the font scaling on my Linux computer, but it did not reproduce this problem. That is the right kind of thinking though. There is probably something about that specific environment causing the problem.
All filter UI heights need to have a little extra to avoid this problem. You are not testing on every combination of OS and display scaling. I test a lot of the combinations and periodically find this problem and bump the height. Just add 25 to the height and be done with it. It is OK if there is a little extra space at the bottom you can scroll to, better than truncating it in other cases such as this.
But, in the screenshot, 3.5 lines of parameters are missing. In my environment, that is 70 pixels of height (20 pixels per parameter). In this user’s environment, that is presumably more because otherwise it would fit in the already allotted space. But I can’t know if 25 or 70 or more is needed to show all the parameters for this user because I do not reproduce the problem.
@CinemaScope I’ve added some height for the next release. Please report back if it still does not show all the parameters.
The font size was the answer. I had my application font size set to 14 (as I get older, it’s easier on my eyesight these days), but when I set it to 10, the scroll on the filter is now available to the bottom. I will of course confirm if my preferred font size works with the next version. Thank you for the solution/explanation; great forum support.
