How to remove(remove) subtitles

Could someone show how to remove or delete embedded subtitles of a video clip by using Shotcut?

I personally see two ways and none will be 100% effective.

1. Use the Spot Remover filter.
   That will replace the text with a blurry substitute.
   

   

2. If the subtitles are in one line and very near the bottom of the screen, you could resize and move the video until the subtitles disappear from the screen. Of course, you’ll also lose parts of the video.
