How to move a track to the beginning quickly

Hey guys. New user here. I’ve made a few videos with Shotcut and I’m enjoying it so far, but I have a question about something that is probably simple. I’m just probably missing it.

Say, for example, I have a 20 minute video track loaded. I go 14 minutes in and split it, then I delete the first 14 minutes. I’m left with a 6 minute video track that is hanging out there by itself 14 minutes away from the beginning. How do I move this all the way back to the beginning without spending five minutes sitting here dragging it back manually?

Hi, it’s very easy. Right-click in the space just to the left of the 6-minute clip and select “remove”. Job done!!:smiley:

So easy! Would never have considered it because I wouldn’t have thought I could remove empty space. Thank you so much!

You’re welcome!
