Here is a video I made of how it was in old versions of Shortcut in Windows 7 and how it is in new versions of Shortcut for Windows 10 and above.
I need it to be like in the old versions, I can’t aim properly, sometimes it takes a lot of time.
Automatic vertical scrolling to Timeline was added in version 24.02
And it is true that this makes things difficult when the track height is set this tall. As soon as the dragged clip reaches the Timeline, the Timeline automatically scrolls up to the highest track.
There is no way (I think) to disable the automatic vertical scrolling, but it would make things easier for you @nadoelologinpodbira if you reduced the height of your tracks
Timeline Menu > Track Height
OR
Mouse cursor in the Timeline (not in track heads) and Shift + mouse wheel.
This is how I do it now.
That’s a clever workaround.
But honestly, although I’m sure you have your reasons, I would find it very difficult to work on such a claustrophobic layout. Especially on a small screen (I assume you edit on a laptop).
But I’ve seen many examples of people working on similar conditions. So I agree that for some users, a way to disable vertical scrolling would be useful.
I work on a computer, my monitor is connected to the video card via an adapter. I navigate by icons on the time scale and the sound graphics on the audio track, and when the software lags, it is easier to hit the target with the cursor when the target is large.
