Basically, I want to want the video to continue like Youtube video when you hit forward or rewind for checking, is there any way to disable this?

fast forward and rewind are the >> and << buttons in the player controls increasing speed with each additional click. These do not pause. If you are asking about seeking by clicking somewhere on the scrub bar or timeline, no, there is no way to disable pause on these. But you can learn to use keyboard shortcuts to quickly resume playback.
