Th animated fog is great. Did you use a fog overlay - like one of these?

No, I used a Fog brush in photoshop to create a 2500x1080 PNG and imported it in Shotcut between the text track (titles) and the background track

Yes. Many times people misinterpret bloom for halation. They do tend to occur together, but halation is more a reddish or orange glow around the edges. So maybe I need to add another Color Grading filter then just raise the orange/red highlights, then blend it.

That’s brilliant, @musicalbox, and thanks for the tutorials. :+1: :+1: I don’t have Photoshop, but I understand that brushes downloaded in .abr format can be used in GIMP, so later I’ll try creating a similar effect i GIMP. I’ve found some freely downloadable fog brushes online - I’m just trying to find which GIMP folder to put them in…

Ah, OK. Interesting @bentacular.Could be good for creating Neon text, I think?

Found it. Had to start the ā€œrunā€ command (Win+R) and type ā€œappdataā€, then the GIMP folder. Along the line of folders, there’s a ā€œBrushesā€ folder.
