How to add own transition?

I want to see if I can add more but I don’t know the format of the transitions so what would be it?

Also I want some free transition websites to download more.

Check near the bottom of the Resources page on the Shotcut website.

To use a non-supplied transition, choose Custom in Transition > Properties > Wipe. It can be in any image or video format that Shotcut can read. For a still image, PNG works best. However, keep in mind that the duration of a video is not adjusted to the duration of the transition. It is probably OK if it is a little different, but a big difference will likely be quite noticeable. Inspect some of the ones on our Resources page to learn how they work and see how the white/grey/black is used over the time of the transition.

There are also more complex techniques demonstrated in Transition that are not usually a simple Custom option of a transition clip object.
