How Is My PC Build For Shotcut?

What do you guys think about this Budget Editing Build for Shotcut or Davinci Resolve?

Shotcut works much better on mac mini m1 compared to my laptop with ryzen 9 5000 serie with RTX3060 and 64GB RAM.
I’m thinking of getting the mac mini m4 which is much faster than the m1

I’m new here, so correct me if i’m wrong.
I noticed that even with GPU effects on CPU and GPU both were only used with a maximum of 30%-40%.
With GPU Effects off, the GPU was not used at all during export.
The free version of Da Vinci does not use your GPU at all.
Only the paid version (absolutely worth it!) uses the GPU. And does a number of other extra things.

About your build: (I build computers for a living):
CPU, MOT, GPU - Nothing wrong with it.
RAM: Only in exceptional cases is 64GB necessary. Only when I run VM’s and edit video, and play games I use more than 32GB.
I would however do something with your storage. Grab a decent 500GB NVME drive and use that for Windows and programs.
Windows/programs consist of a lot of small files. nvme ssd’s are fast, but only when files are large do you get that speed. You could even use a 500GB SATA ssd, but with the prices as they are today that seems silly.
Put your data/games/video files on the 2TB drive you have there.
I use a 3rd nvme drive so I can put video footage on one the 2nd drive and use the 3rd drive as a scratch drive.
I also have a few large sata SSD’s in the computer for storage of large (video) files. You could even use QLC drives for that kind of storage.
If you have the funds, grab a 4-8TB sata SSD for slow storage.
Backups are also easier in this scenario: Use an imaging tool to backup Windows including all settings, partition info etc. backup this image file and all your data to an external drive or something like that (Macrium Reflect Free and SyncToy still work).
Anyway, my 2 cents.
