How do You Move Frame by Frame?

So I realize that to move frame by frame through your footage should be as easy as using the left and right arrow keys (or j+k and k+l) but when I do so, I end up moving second by second. My interpolation is bilinear and so I’m not really sure what else to do.

The left and right arrow keys move frame by frame.

You could always use the frame spinner (located just under the “preview” pane):
