How do I replace a proxy?

If I edit an image after I import it into Shotcut the proxy file does not change. How do I update the proxy so it reflects my changes? Do I just delete the proxy file and it will auto-regenerate?

Use the “Make Proxy” option when you click the “Proxy” button in the clip properties panel.

Doesn’t work. The proxy remains unchanged. Perhaps this is something that was fixed in a later version. I am using Windows 7 and because of that I can only use 22.12.21. I guess I’m stuck with it.
