How do I remove an old version of shotcut that is installed over a new version?

Put simply, I have the latest version installed and it all works fine and well, but when I open a MLT file straight from file explorer and select it to open with shotcut, it opens in an older version that is somehow still installed as you can see here:

Basically, there are 2 versions of shotcut installed at the same time and I have no idea how to uninstall the old version without affecting the new one. Any help is appreciated.

Please check on icon properties if the directory is the same for both … if not … just remove the files and directory from old version

Check control painel if you find the old version and uninstall

You can remove all shotcut files and try to reinstall from begining and check if old still there …

just some ideas !!!
