I wish to try exporting edited MP4-files to AV1. According to this post

AV1 should be the best choice for personal use.
I struggle to find the doumentation about this. What export settings do I need to use to create a AV1-file? I want to create the smallest AV1 file possible without loss of quality. If the export job takes longer because of this is less important.
There is a preset just for this, it’s right above the Default one in the export panel. The default settings are pretty good, start with that and if you want something different use the “Other” text tab to tweak some of the very advanced settings.
If you want as much quality as possible you probably need to raise the Quality a bit, try 55% or 60, but start with defaults first, you might even end up lowering the quality % a bit if your particular video is not very action heavy.
Everything @daniel47 said. There is also a “ten_bit/AV1 WebM” preset that works in 10-bit mode, which is generally recommended with AV1. The file size is usually comparable to 8-bit, and the potential for banding is less.
