I don’t know how to bring a clip to the front of the video

Hi, in Shotcut, clips on higher tracks appear in front of clips on lower tracks. So, for example, put your background clip on track V1 and create another track (V2) and put your foreground clip there.

You may need to apply a size and position filter to the top track if you want to make it smaller than your background clip.

If you’ve already put clips in the tracks in and edited them, but want to swap them so one is in front of the other, then you can insert a track above the clips you want on top/in front. Then you can copy the clips you want in front into that new track. After that you can copy the clips you want on the bottom/in the back onto the old track and delete the track were were in.
