i want it so that as the color clip goes on the color keeps changing randomly until the end of the clip
You can make a color clip change color.
Not automatically, you’ll have to work a little with keyframes.
And not randomly either. But you can make it look like it’s random.
I can see two methods:
-
Using the Hue/Lightness/Saturation filter
- Create a color clip of any color and drag it to the timeline.
- Add a Hue/Lightness/Saturation filter
- Move the playhead to the first frame of the clip an enable keyframes on Hue. Also on Lightness if desired.
- Move the playhead forward and change the value of Hue and Lightness.
- Move the playhead again and change Hue and Lightness.
- Repeat the last 2 steps for as long as needed.
-
Using the Color Grading filter.
- Create a white clip and drag it to the timeline.
- Add a Color Grading filter and choose the first color in the Highlights (Gain) wheel.
- Move the playhead to the first frame of the clip an enable keyframes on the Highlights (Gain) filter.
- Move the playhead forward and change the value of Highlights (Gain).
- Move the playhead and change the value of Highlights (Gain) again.
- Repeat for as long as needed.
