To make some simple text descriptions, I open a color (transparent) and then apply the simple text filter. This gives me a short clip on the timeline, wherever I want.
I use this clip multiple times in one project (with slight modifications), and also would need them within multiple projects. Can I somehow make these clips a playlist item, to easily grab them when required, and can I somehow move these clips to another project (without exporting as a Video file, because I require to be able to edit the text ans some other things)…
Hi @GIS!
To begin, you can click on “Open other” --> “Text” and then you can write the text you want. After that you can drag&drop your text into the timeline. I think it’s more simple than your way of doing. However, I think the easiest way to do this is to create a new project, create your text and then export it to reopen it in your project.
Does that answer your question?
Thank you Tony. If I do it the way you suggest, and export my text, I assume You mean to export as a Video clip? This would not be in my interest, because I want to keep the option to edit parts of the text later on…
I think it is not possible to drag a clip in the playlist to re-edit it after, but I don’t know…
I think the better is to create a text clip with the way of doing I told you before and copy and paste as many times as it will be useful to you…
