Help! The video I'm working on dropped quality (+other issues)

I’ve been working on a short video for a long time, having saved it as a project file many times as well to continue working on it later. At one point I accidentally didn’t have the project file, just the exported video, so I had to insert the video back in Shotcut to continue adding stuff to it. I’m thinking maybe exporting the video then putting it back through Shotcut lowered the video quality? I don’t know why it dropped from 720p to 480p max after my first draft. I tried exporting as both FLV and MP4 but they’re both 480p. Every clip I used in the video is high quality, as well. Am I without hope for restoring video quality?

Edit: Also, I used a text filter at the end, but when exporting the video, the text jumps left and right randomly. Is there a way to prevent the text from glitching out? It’s not messed up when I play the video while in Shotucut, only after being exported

Yes if you are not exporting as lossless.

We do not know either; you did that somehow.

high quality

That does not mean anything. There are thousands of variables that affect quality resulting in many levels of quality.

Is there a way to prevent the text from glitching out?

Upgrade to the latest version. Version 18.12 had an issue in this area. Or, try to remove the filter and re-add it.
