Help. Just cutting a MP4 file and export

Hi , can you help as I do not understand what I did wrong.

1. I have an MP4 video
2. I have cut a piece out of it
3. Create a project (mtl file). I hope what I have done is correct
4. Then export as a MPEG
5. When I now run the video in windows media player I can not move the slider to eg minutes just before the end.

Can you let me know if the steps taken are OK?

I have seen the tutorial and not clear to me.

If you’re having issues with Windows Media Player, you would need to get a hold of Microsoft.

Shotcut itself is also a video player. After the job is done exporting, right click, then click Open, and it will play back the video for you.

Have you tried playing it with VLC media player? Official download of VLC media player, the best Open Source player - VideoLAN
