I have a very good cpu, and when I export a video from shotcut it eats up 80% to even 98% of my cpu how do I put it lower so it doesn’t damag my pc?
It won’t damage your PC if it has proper cooling in place, like fans and ventilation. 100% CPU usage is great because it means the export will finish as fast as possible. What’s the point of having a very good CPU if it can’t run full speed? Invest in more cooling if there is a concern. If a short-term fix is needed, Process Lasso for Windows can restrict melt.exe to specified cores.
