This is the video after being exported. It’s blank but you can still hear me playing the saxophone.
When this happened before, I tried disabling proxy and reenabling it hoping something would change, but that resulted in the playback breaking as well.
No matter what changes i make to the export settings, nothing seems to work. log.txt (988.0 KB)

This is the mlt file
I looked at other people with similar issues and the replies suggested to use the hardware encoder. Whenever I try to use the hardware encoder, the export fails immediately. Here’s that log. log2.txt (12.9 KB)
Thanks in advance. Would love to have this resolved asap.
mp4 file is too big to send.
Turn off the proxy and then you need to review. It is possible that some index values for the video stream within the mp4 files are out-of-sync with the proxy. I know you said you disabled proxy, but you also need to (p)review. If there are black clips, select it and choose Properties > Video > Track (corresponds to the “index” I mentioned).
You cannot simply turn on a hardware encoder and expect it to work; it must be compatible. Your log says you tried to use an incompatible hardware encoder.
BTW, your version is 23.07 from 2 years ago. That version number is literally July 2023. From the release notes, the next version fixed a major bug handling proxy with the way Google Pixel phones write their video files:
Release 23.09.29
Fixed Export or turning off **Settings
Proxy > Use Proxy** if the file starts with a data stream such as videos recorded on Google Pixel phones, for example.
Therefore, the procedure I mentioned above is necessary and you need to upgrade before the next project
Thank you so much! That fixed it immediately. I knew my software was out of date but I didn’t think a patch would specifically solve this niche issue only a month after the patch i had, lol. Just one question: If the problem was the google pixel rendering videos weird, why did some of the clips work but not others?
