Green screen does not work when both the back and foreground are landscape or portrait

We have the latest mac operating system and we are confused how to use the Chroma Key Simple filter. When both the back and fore ground are the same orientation the Chroma Key Simple function does not work.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks

Yes, it would be good to have more information - in particular about your workflow and how you are trying to apply the chroma key.

Hi,

  1. I am new to Shotcut and I have been using the software quite a lot recently. Is this what you mean by[quote=“Steve_Ledger, post:2, topic:3723”]

I hope I will be able to reply soon

Workflow = the methodology by which you carry out a task.

how you are trying to apply the chroma key. = Describe the steps you are taking when applying the chroma key.

Hi there,

This is how I would apply the Chroma key simple function:

  1. I bring in a video file (green screen) and a picture file (background) of the same orientation to the playlist.
  2. I add two video tracks.
  3. I add the video and picture to the tracks, placing the background image below the green screen video.
  4. I apply the chroma key filter to the green screen video.

It is at this point that nothing seems to happen.
I hope this information covers it.

Thank you

I appreciate your help but I have already watched and studied this video.

This green screen video is working.
