Gpx and colors route

Hello everyone,

in Shotcut, I’m overlaying a GPX file of hikes onto a map image centered on my routes.

So far, though it’s a bit of a struggle, I’m managing to get what I want. But I’d like to take it a step further and have one color for the outward journey and another for the return.

Do you think this is possible, and if so, how?
Thanks in advance for your replies.

You can use 2 separate GPS filters, in the first one you only draw half (or the outward journey) and int the 2nd filter you draw the other half (the return). The filter does not know when the return journey starts so there is no automatic way for this colouring mode. Only relative to your current position.

I assume you are using a single .gpx file because if you use 2 files you can simply choose another color in one of the filters.

Oh, good idea!

Yes, I only have one GPX file, but I think I have the tool to split it in two.

I’ll try that next time.

Thanks for the tip!
