Hey folks,
I’m just about to give up. I edited my gopro videos and exported with the H.264 high profile. But I’m not able to import this to my iphone and subsequently to Instagram.
iPhone won’t recognize the video in the Photos gallery. I managed to copy the video to the iPhone Files app and can play it from there but I’m not able to import to Instagram by any means. Instagram just hangs with a green screen.
Anyone has settings or things to check to make this work?

Instagram has upload video size limits
Instagram has specific size and length limits for videos, depending on the type of post. For standard feed videos, the maximum file size is 4 GB, and the video length can be up to 60 minutes. For Reels, the maximum length is 90 seconds, while Instagram Stories allow for videos up to 60 seconds. Instagram Live streams can be up to 4 hours long

You could try using the “default” setting which will result in a Mp4 (which is suitable for most users and purposes).
Or convert your video using the free Handbrake…
Another idea which I used to good success recently (unless it’s important for you to have a crystal clear video quality):
Play the video in Shotcut, maybe using the “player” option, and screen-capture the video using ShareX or OBS.
It worked for me recently when I wanted to send a video via email from my iPhone and the file-size was too big. Just a thought.
One should not need to use another tool to export or reconvert. These other tools also do not know specifics about Instagram and guide you in that regard.
What video mode are you using? Are you overriding any of the video mode parameters in export > video?
If you want to go with another tool, a mobile one that specifically deals in Instagram output is the best route, but I don’t have any recommendation since I do not use Instagram to share video myself.
