I use Gentoo as my daily driver and was saddened to see that I cannot use emerge to get the latest versions of shotcut. I recently purchased an RX 7800 XT and would like to use shotcut at it’s most efficient as flatpak is not ideal.
Is there a chance that shotcut could have an official overlay added to

QtWebKit is offered on the Gentoo overlays, which to my knowledge, is why it was why Shotcut was removed from Gentoo.
QtWebKit has not been included in Shotcut for a few years. The developers here do not make or maintain distro packages (whatever the terminology). So, you need to hope a gentoo user who can make it reads this here volunteers to do it.
That is a tad bit sad to hear.
I hope to have luck with arch-chroot on debian, or an alternative way to run on Gentoo. It is a great program, and I wish it was more friendly with my RX 7800 XT.
Edit: it works on the Nvidia 3060, but I rather not go back to that GPU
