Gain/Volume increase doesn't work

Everytime I try and increase the volume it won’t allow me to, instead I just get a sliding bar option and all I can do is move it back and forth and it doesn’t even increase the volume.

Any solution would be well appreciated. Thanks!

Select the ‘clip’ first.

Also, shrink the size of your preview window in case you are hiding the gain control.

I do click the clip before trying to increase the volume, the prob is that the volume bar doesn’t appear and how do you shrink the preview window?

Your panel layout seems off. Reset it to defaults (View>>Restore Default Layout) and start again, you can drag the panels to any position and snap them into place.

This is my preferred layout.
