20/feb/2025- I’m using shotcut V25.01.25 on a windows 10 OS , happens that after i followed that route: add video track> open other>color (transparent)> drag and drop from preview screen to timeline> filters> text rich> text rich shows up 1 milisecond on preview screen and dissapear.
I looked for shotcut view log but found the next :

I downloaded shotcut through brave browser and installed it on the laptop, but as it was giving me this issue, I uninstalled it ,through control panel and deleted the meltytech file on users>AppData>local, and installed the portable ZIP file in a USB stick> extract here> and double left click on image shotcut.exe , but when started to work ? the same issue, please HELP!
Hi , I followed the instructions as musicbox gave me a video when posted “how to create slide long text or horizontal scroll text”, and it worked fine when made 1st test with a picture extended as the master file( in the video track #1), the issue started when openned a real video mp4 in the video track #1 , followed the same procedure as in the video step by step, respecting all details to find the nice performance of the desired strive , as a reminder and looking for a solution of this issue I’m deleting all files related to shotcut in the laptop(.MLT and WER files I already shared you) previously to extract the downloaded portable ZIP file from chrome,in a USB stick , I also downloaded a Apowerrec software (which yet don’t know how to use it) to share you a clip of the issue if it happens again after the cleaning of all files previously to the extracting of portable ZIP shotcut tomorrow early in the morning right from the USB Stick downloaded from chrome( if Brave added the issue) . anyway if everything works fine? I’m going to share a clip just for the record.

Hi shotcut forum , the promise is debt I’m working from HP Elitebook 2540p Intel(R) Core™ i7 CPU L 640 @ 2.13GHz, 2134 Mhz, 2 main processors 4 logic processors on windows 10 home. I deleted shotcut following the procedures that I recommended : control panel>programs> softwares and characteristics> shotcut image> uninstall , once it was uninstalled went to the route C:\Users\Dwight\AppData\Local\Meltytech and deleted the whole file , then went to the search bar of the SSD C and typed “shotcut” and after the system found all files? started to delete all the remaining files that could be linked to the running of the software from the USB stick, even adjusted the settings to get a better optimization from the software as next,> preview scaling :360p >deinterlacer : one field (fast)> >interpolation: nearest neighbor (fast)> display method: Automatic>Proxy: use Proxy at 360p .
And once I started to run shotcut from the USB pendrive? The same problem as the video : when open the filter of text? the activation opens 1 milisecond and then dissapear. , I don’t know what to do next, any recommend will be well received (the sad thing is that the software was working fine so I could add audio to the video, and exported to mp4 to add text to it to end, but…

I greatly hope you have meant the video clip, because if so?..let me tell you that I’ve tried since the morning ,…and…it worked although still shotcut didn’t permitted me to paste the copied text , I did my best to type it all with the keyboard. I didn’t know that trick of select the video clip to select the text:rich filter, but the most important is that it worked! and made me feel as it was my only chance to work on the job as fast as I could to end it up once for all. I am very Thankful for the support about that circumstance that I’ve been passing by. Still I’m missing to understand what do you mean with " the on-video control to appear and be active"? could you tell me the route to get that,please? thank you in advance!
The “on-video control” is the white rectangle (where you write your text) and the styling buttons. It’s displayed in the preview panel when the Text: Rich filter is selected.
I’m Astonished but amazed, and thankful at the same time!. I’m still confused about why shotcut don’t let me paste the copied text, do you or any of the forum leaders have another trick ? or …do you recommend to start a new topic?
