Failed to load external entity

Hey, i want to transform a video.

everytime when i choose export file, he is instantly finished ( file is 3gb of size ) and no file is created.

Under protocoll is this message:

I/O warning : failed to load external entity "C:/Windows/Temp/shotcut-Vi5728.mlt"
Failed to load "C:/Windows/Temp/shotcut-Vi5728.mlt"

i googled vi5728.mlt etc cant find any tips or solution.

pls help

error occured 20 times,

21 try was, the file name where i saved it had no spaces like MyVideo not My Video. so it worked! Strange

I had no problems with project files or source files with spaces in their names. Tried with exporting a project file named “My Video.mlt” and a source video with spaces in the names as well, OSX and Shotcut version 16.12.03.

I am sorry to hear that you had trouble with this. Generally it is considered good practice not to use spaces in file names, and instead use an underscore (like this: _ ) or something. Just in case there is a problem with whatever software you use that poorly handles reading spaces. But I don’t think this was an issue with Shotcut, sometimes flukes happen…

Are we in 90s? Generally it is considered to deliver products without bugs.
Same issue 20.04.12. So I had to manually edit .mlt file, oh…
