What is your operating system?
Mac OS BIG SUR 11.7.10
What is your Shotcut version (see Help > About Shotcut)?
24.01.31
Can you repeat the problem? If so, what are the steps?
I select a video shot from my iPhone in my Timeline, go to properties, ask to create a proxy and then it fails…
the hardware encoder is turned off.
I have no idea what’s wrong…
thanks in advance for your help
These look like file permission errors, either give shotcut permission to write to that folder or try to change Settings → Proxy → Storage → Set to a public/less protected folder.
Probably that Proxies folder does not exist. Shotcut does not create a subfolder like that. Rather, if you have Settings > Proxy > Storage > Use Project Folder turned on, it creates and uses a proxies sub-folder (but only if you used the New Project feature on the startup screen). Note the difference in capitalization, which is important. This tells me that at some point in the past you used Settings > Proxy > Storage > Set to choose this folder, and now it no longer exists. That is not a project-specific setting. You can fix this.
hello,
thanks for the help
the proxies sub folder exits already in the project folder. it was created automatically
this is why I don’t understand where the problem comes from…
it was named “Proxies” so I tried removing the capital letter but it doesn’t change nothing
the problem is still there
