Fail to make iphone video proxy

What is your operating system?
Linux Mint 22.1

What is your Shotcut version (see Help > About Shotcut)?
Shotcut version 25.08.16

Can you repeat the problem? If so, what are the steps?
I select a video shot from iPhone 16 Pro Max in my Timeline, go to properties, ask to create a proxy and then it fails…
the hardware encoder is turned off.
I have no idea what’s wrong…
thanks in advance for your help

Looks like a file system problem, not an iPhone video problem. Does this path exist, and the user account have permission to write to it?

Yes, I can. I think there is error:

mov,mp4,m4a,3gp,3g2,mj2 @ 0x5ada1e9900c0] Nem találhatói kodekparaméter az 1. adatfolyamhoz (Audio: nincs (apac /0x63617061), 48000 Hz, 4 csatorna, 387 kb/s): ismeretlen kodek

I am surprised it is happening again for you.
I will try to release to retest it, but I might forget since I’m out of town. Meanwhile it had an explanation and workaround for future recordings.

This is the first time I’ve had this error. What you linked to occurred on Mac OS, I’m using Linux Mint. One solution previously was to set the iPhone to record only stereo sound. The problem with me is that I already have the recordings and I didn’t record them.

I found an ffmpeg solution for pre-conversion. But it would be more convenient if ShotCut could do this too.

This code:

ffmpeg -analyzeduration 200M -probesize 200M -i input.mov -map 0:v:0 -map 0:a:0 -c:v copy -c:a copy output.mp4
