I created some end credits, whent through the same procedure i always do, it plays back on the timeline ok but when i export it and play it there`s no text showing, I keep going back and editing with different settings e.g. Paralell processing box unchecked, overflow set to visable all to no avail.Version 26.8.1 TIA
I assume you are using Text: Rich. The problem is most likely that text format color is transparent because something went wrong while editing. The edit control will still show it because it needs to let you edit it. It might look like a gray/black color block on the timeline because that is the color without transparency (alpha). Select all of the text inside the edit box and set its color.
Adding to what shotcut said: if resetting the text color doesn’t fix it, also check that the Opacity in the Text: Rich filter isn’t at 0% and that the text isn’t keyframed to fade out before the credits play. A quick way to isolate it is to add a plain Text: Simple filter to the same clip and export just a few seconds. If the simple text shows up in the export, the Rich text formatting is the culprit, and pasting the credits into a fresh Text: Rich filter (then setting the color again) usually clears it.
