Exporting .mp4 videos sometimes has audio but no video

Can you repeat the problem? If so, what are the steps?
I exported a 17 minute video in which the source used was an .mp4 file. When it was finished exporting, the result I got was the video had audio, but not the actual video…is there anyway to fix this whatsoever?

This is a common problem when people select the hardware encoder for export. Did you use hardware encoder? If so, try to turn that off.

I switched hardware encoders from AMF to QSV. The same file I attempted to export on that previous encoder seems to have properly encoded itself…lets see if it’ll work again for a different file

Yep! I just switched hardware encoders from AMF to QSV, and I don’t experience this problem anymore after the switch
