when exporting a frame it should show as a job in the jobs panel.
this would make it a little more intuitive especcialy because you can then click the job and select open file location and then just drag and drop it into the timeline, instead of manually having to open file explorer, and then find the file… It gets tedious the more you do it. I think this would be a wonderfull quality of life addition.
Activate the Recent panel. As soon as you export a frame, it will appear in the Recent list. Just double-click on it and it will be transferred to the Source viewer. From there you can drag it to the Playlist or to the Timeline.
If you don’t want the Recent panel to eat space from the viewer, you can move it in the same area as the Jobs panel.
