Hi. Just discovering Shotcut.
Shooting video footage on iphone with third party app, allowing me to have 3 audio tracks : one lossy AAC and two losless PCM.
Importing the footage in Shotcuts works fine and Shotcut correctly identifies the three audio tracks and their different codecs.
Detaching audio, adding 2 blank audio tracks and assigning each codec to each track works fine.
Problem is with export.
I only seem to be able to choose one audio codec to export.
Is there a way for a pass through export for the audio tracks, preserving each codec for each track ?
There is no pass-through, and you are only allowed one audio output track that represents the mixed down.
As a rather manual workaround: you can export the 3 individual sound tracks as separate files (with video disabled, so it is faster) then use ffmpeg to merge them with video quickly into a single file (this part is quick and lossless, just a stream copy).
Hi @ishootcuts , just for me to understand: Why do you keep all tracks? I would just keep lossless track until editing is finished and then export for different destinations
