I searched for existing topics on the subject but was not able to find anything.
The question is regarding Render In Place, or it may be called Export to Timeline.
In situations where the load is becoming a little too heavy for the computer, it could be useful to export and have the clip automatically appear in a new track, already in sync with the export start point. In this way, all the tracks which are dragging the computer down can be erased or muted, and the project saved as a new name, allowing new work, such as adding text or additional audio, to continue in a smooth fashion, without having to resort to Proxy files.
Has this been discussed previously? If not, would anyone see any value in such a facility?
Cheers!
