Just upgraded Shotcut and made a project but kept getting “Failed”. Rebooted PC but still the same.
Checked memory > OK checked files were OK with virus scanner.
Rebooted and re-installed 22.01.30 and now it’s working!
May be useful for someone else to know and try…
Thank you for sharing and giving people hope that it can be made to work. I still believe that antivirus programs are getting in the way somehow. But I do not have definitive proof.
If I had the same problem, I would probably choose to turn off the VPN and temporarily turn off my antivirus and firewall. Because sometimes some niche software doesn’t recognize Shotcut as safe, it can be a little problematic to install, and I’ve encountered a similar situation when installing other software.
