Export failing when the exported mp4 has an “|“ in the name?
Im using shotcut installed from the software manager of linux mint so its installed via flatpak version 25.08.16 stable and when i try to export my video it gave me the error i usually export to a hard drive which was never a problem before and shotcut has read write permisson on there anyway but it kept failing on me so i exported to where my system is installed in the documents folder and without the “|“ in the name and now it magically works??
You changed both the file name characters and the location. So we can’t be sure which change solved the problem. If you right click on a failed job, you can save the log. You can upload the log as an attachment to this forum and we can get some clues from that.
What i think is the problem was the name with the | in it i can export fine no matter the location but when its finished i still cant put the | in the name so i believe its something not shotcut related
