Entry point not found ... again

Hi. I try to open shotcut after the latest update, but jumps me a warning window saying “entry point not found” and it doesn’t open. I already had informed this behavior before. That time, i couldn’t fix it, so i had to downgrade. As I said, recently, i tried to update it to the latest version, but this issue continues. My windows version is Windows 10 pro 1607 14393. I have another pc with a newer windows version and shotcut works fine (by the way, thanks for adding the continuous arrows pressing for a continuous playback while editing).
The last time i reported this, you adviced me to completely uninstall, but nor even that worked. So what else could i do (i can’t update windows). Thanks for your attention.

I am not going to fix this. I believe it is in the Qt libraries we do not build. You should not run very non-updated versions of windows 10, especially connected to the Internet.

According the web page below from Microsoft that version is from 2016

Update: I only have one Windows 10 system now, with version 19045.5247 (or 10.0.19045 Build 19045, depending on where you look! :disappointed:) and that works for me.

I found the reason below, which says:

Windows 10 (1809 or later)

Qt for Windows | Qt 6.8

And Wikipedia says that build number corresponds to “October 2018 Update”

Hmmm, so the only possibilities are, 1) update windows 10, or 2) install the latest outdated functional version of shotcut? So, another question, now just for curiosity ¿That means shotcut won’t work on any earlier windows version (W8,W7)?

Shotcut’s Download page:

If you mean that your pc can’t support upgrading a windows version, than actually you can, (assuming you atleast have 4gb ram and atleast Intel i3 3rd gen or equivalent), it doesn’t matter if you don’t have tpm 2.0.

Just download the iso directly from Microsoft, then download a software called Rufus by akeo. Now just choose your thumbdrive from the dropdown menu and then choose disk or iso image, then click on select and choose the windows iso you downloaded. Leave everything at default and click start. (Don’t choose windows-to-go if prompted)

Once you click start it would show you option of what you want to disable, it gives you ig 4 options, I just click all of them and continue. You can choose what requirements you want to remove.

Now you can install windows normally.

Or if you mean that you don’t want to update, than I don’t have any suggestions.

But you say that shotcut won’t work on my windows version , just to be outdated, is because of qt support? I guess i can live with the latest workable shotcut version in here,
