Because of the nature of Panasonic P2 media, when open the video, there is no associated audio. Is there any way to use P2 with Shortcut without converting it to MP4 or similar?

Never heard of it.
When you have file on it, you first have to extract it. What do you use and what does it give you?
MXF files?
Edit : I download some sample MXF files and they open directly in Shotcut.
