Editing Individual Audio Channels

I’m wondering if it is possible to edit the individual audio channels of movie files that use Dolby 5.1 or some other form of 6 channel audio. My objective is to mute the channel(s) that has the music, so that I can practice film scoring over various film scenes that I like.

I’m brand new to this and don’t really know what I’m doing, so any help you can give would be greatly appreciated.

This is not exactly supported at this time. The only thing you can do with > 2 channels is copy or swap 2 of them. For your goal, you could copy something from another channel to the one that you want to mute using the Copy Channel filter.
