Does a MLT opened as clip still uses proxies?

Hi guys and girls,

I have been working on a video divided into 4 part, one MLT for each to keep shotcut happy.
For each part I have been working with proxies and everything went smoothly.
Now when I create a 5th project and open the 4 previous MLT as clip, I feel like shotcut slowdown.
Hence my question: does the master ML still use the proxies from each child MLT or does it revert to the original clips?
